She combines practical legal experience with international perspective and strong legal and policy analysis. Dr. Sun earned her PhD in Law from the University of Manchester. She is licensed to practice law in California and China and has passed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination for England and Wales.

孙芳律师早年任职于中国检察机关，随后进入商业法律领域，长期从事公司治理、商事交易及企业法律顾问工作。赴美后，她历任社会科学家、研究员及法律顾问／律师，专注跨境交易、企业合规及人工智能与数据监管，为企业、政府机构及国际组织提供法律咨询与政策建议。 Dr. Sun began her legal career in a Chinese procuratorate before moving into commercial legal practice, where she advised on corporate governance, commercial transactions, and outside general counsel matters. In the United States, she has worked as a social scientist, researcher, legal consultant, and attorney, with a focus on cross-border transactions, corporate compliance, artificial intelligence, and data regulation. She has provided legal and policy guidance to companies, government agencies, and international organizations.

Her experience includes fund and corporate legal matters, investment project management, risk control, and professional-services operations. She later founded a logistics company in the United States and served as its chief executive officer, overseeing business strategy, business development, team management, and day-to-day operations.
